Unit 20 Deadline extension

I have extended the deadline to Monday 6th December.

You need to hand in your print outs for the sections you want changing, to me during the lessons.

Do not attempt to give me individual pages, as I am not going to spend my team searching for what to replace. If you made a change to Jayne's evaluation then re-print the entire evaluation. This will not work if you did not use page breaks, so be careful as to what you need to actually re-print.

Unit 20 Final deadline

The referral deadline for the unit 20 folders is

Referral deadline Thursday 25th November

You will need to hand in your entire folder, this will not be returned, if you do not hand in you folder on this day then I will not give you referrals, do not attempt to hand me folders on Monday - you have been warned.

I will mark the folders over the weekend and give you a current final mark based on the work you have presented to me on Monday 29th November.

I will also provide you with referral work to do, you will not get your folders back but can submit corrections based on the referrals I have given you. You cannot work on this during lessons as we will be working on the Game programming unit. These corrections will need to be given to me personally by:

Final deadline Friday 3rd December

If you do not hand in corrections by this date then they will not be included.

If I do not receive your folder at all by this deadline then you will receive a non submission mark (that is ZERO) and be asked to pay the £20 fee for your portfolio entry.

Please read this message carefully.

Homework - Jayne, Hari and Toma Solutions

The solutions for Jayne, Hari and Toma need completing by the end of next week.

Make sure that you explain how the components of the solution work together by walking the reader through a couple of examples of how Jayne will complete a suitable task. Ensure you print drafts and hand to me so I can check through and make sure you are targeting the right stuff.

We will move onto the evaluation and client reports next week (starting with Jayne's), so we need these out of the way.

Homework: Game Focus group minutes and Mind map

You need to complete your minutes from your focus group and from this create the mind map (see portfolio guide for an example of the mind map).

It is important that this is titled to show that this comes from the discussion in the focus group.

This needs handing in by Thursday 7th October (next week)

U17 Final Deadline

The final deadline for the game programming unit is:

Friday 30th April 2010

This is an absolute deadline, there will be no normal referral process, you must ensure that your work is up to date and complete.

If you fail to submit your work (you are advised to submit before the deadline to avoid printing issues) you will receive a zero submission mark.

There can be no extension to this deadline due to a fixed exam board deadline that I need to adhere to.

Wednesday 27th Jan While I'm away

I will not be in today so you must ensure that you use your time wisely.

Do not sit around talking as the work you have to do will not go away.

You should be ideally working on your subroutine list or writing up your sprite subroutine descriptions in structured English. Make sure you remember to include the use of any parameters where sprite subroutines use them. If you have completed all of those then go back to your code and start working on the xml comments

press \\\ on the line immediately above each subroutine and variable and fill in the summary (and any parameters listed). This is crucial work.

You need to ensure you read the assignment guide on the U17 section of the Intranet for the details.

I will hopefully be back in on Thursday.
